| Quatuor Mosaïques : "Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven" After their stunning local debut in 2009, one of the greatest string quartets returns to San Diego with a program including Haydn’s Quartet in G minor, op. 20/3, Mozart’s “Hunt” Quartet, and Beethoven’s Quartet in F major, op. 135. Quatuor Mosaïques is arguably the finest of string quartets specializing in original instrument and period performances of 18th century literature. The Austrian group was founded in 1987 by four members of Nikolaus Harnoncourt’s Concentus Musicus Wien, and continues to receive critical acclaim including several Gramophone Awards. This concert is part of the Performing Arts at The Neurosciences Institute.
